I have a floating around feeling at the moment, I don't know wether thats because Im recovering from a horrendous virus (the type that leaves you so weak you are incapable of anything outside of the duvet) or because I'm still feeling a bit in-between stage one and two, having not heard from anyone from our agency about our stage two timescale yet after our conversation on Friday (I am honestly trying my hardest to be the picture of patience and calm).
In other news, me and Mr K have a holiday booked and we leave in just over a week, its an amazing long haul holiday, a first for us as we've never been that far afield. we felt that now was the time, before our little life is full to the brim with all things Children, and it could possibly be our last holiday alone for a very long time. So Exciting. Except I haven't been able to get all that excited, and I haven't done any planning for it yet because my mind is so full of wondering how stage two will pan out and wether we will be left waiting. Ridiculous I know.
Things to ponder whilst on holiday:
1. Savour the 'calm before the storm'.
2. Remember my vow to 'live in the now' Always. It will be easy to practise this in paradise! and hopefully when I'm having a 'What Am I Doing?' moment in the future I can call on these memories from not so long ago and remind myself to get close to nature and enjoy a little wonder like a leaf in a breeze or a full moon.
3. Appreciate and celebrate how far me and Mr K have come over the past 11 years.
4. Get excited about becoming parents and start to imagine what our family will look like.
5. Make a wish list of the things we'd like to do as a family.
